Modern Day Chain Letter
I was tagged by Ange of Buzzing with Ange. She had answered all these questions on her blog, and now I am answering the same questions on my blog. It’s a modern day chain-letter…
1. How long have you been blogging.
I started my first sort-of-blog more than 10 years ago. I’ve had a lot of different incarnations of blogging, mostly for my personal entertainment, and at that point I didn’t even recognize it as “blogging”. I started this blog about 2 months ago and this is my first real attempt at maintaining a consistent and targeted niche blog.
2. What inspired you to start a blog and who are your mentors
I really enjoy writing and working on different articles. It gets my mind thinking and I see it as a creative outlet for myself. It’s an amazing medium that allows you to reach a lot of people.
3. Are you trying to make money online, or just doing it for fun
Eventually I will probably promote some items, but right now I am not trying to make money from this blog - though I do have other online projects that I attempt to make money with.
4. What 3 things do you love about being online
a) Being online allows me to be creative. I always enjoyed computers and sort-of enjoyed computer programming, but I started to put it all together, it became something I can really be passionate about.
b) The ability to interact with people around the world is incredible. You can read blogs and websites authored by people around the world, and use different tools to interact with them. Also to see the map of where all my visitors came from is fun.
c) There is always something new to try. If you check some different blogs every day, you will find new ideas and new tools that will reshape your online experience every day.
5. What 3 things do you struggle with online
a) Finding time to work on all of my projects. Sometimes I have so many client projects, blogs and personal projects going at once that I can spend all day in front of the computer and not get everything done.
b) Being excited about my client’s projects. A lot of times I don’t feel much ownership around my client’s projects and it causes me to lose interest. I would usually rather spend all day working on my projects, rather than get paid hourly for working on a project that I do not own.
c) Keeping a stream of fresh article ideas. Before I started this blog (and other blogs) I thought “I have a million things I could write about, it won’t be a problem” - but you quickly realize that it isn’t always a snap to think of something to write about, every day of the week.
“Tag”
Now I guess it’s my turn to tag some people.
Rhonda at Running to Win too is a regular commenter around here and I’m happy to see she’s back on the blogging wagon.
Dave at Dave Life is a local friend of mine who started a blog… it’s a mix of Chicago and Personal Development.

Funny how you inspire me, Chris. I posted this morning. It’s been 4 days I think. I want to blog every day and hope to get better but think I’m overwhelmed. Regardless, thx for tagging me. I feel so special
I’ll do the same Q&A thing too maybe. Have a gr8 week!
