Make Your Situation Work

I don’t have much time to write this because I am working from a local Kinko’s and it is pretty expensive, but I wanted to get this out. My work situation at the moment isn’t very good because I work from home, and due to a mix-up with the cable company, it’s going to be a few days before I can get online from home. This wouldn’t be an issue if I had a laptop, but I don’t have a laptop, so I’ve got to make the situation work.

The fact is that all of my files, programs, passwords, etc are on my home computer, and it isn’t reasonable for me to take that computer to the library for the free wi-fi. Right now I’m on this computer and paying out the nose for it, so this isn’t a reasonable solution either.

I am about to head to one of my client’s homes where I will work for a few hours on his project. Tomorrow I may be heading to another client’s office to work on that project. While none of these are ideal situations, sometimes you have to take what the world gives you and make the best of the situation. It would be easy for me to lay in bed all day with the blanket pulled over my head, but then next week I wouldn’t be very happy with that decision.

It’s a little like saying “When the world gives you lemons, make lemonade.” – Things don’t always work out exactly how you want or need them to be, so you have to make the best of every situation. Okay I am about to run out of time here so I will check back soon…
