Landmark Forum
Today is the first day of my Landmark Forum. For those that don’t know, The Landmark Forum is a 3 day seminar offered by Landmark Education. The program “is specifically designed to bring about positive and permanent shifts in the quality of your life. These shifts are the direct cause for a new and unique kind of freedom and power.” The Landmark Forum promises all this and more.
For some background, I know several people who have taken this course, and have gone on to do the Landmark Education Advanced Course and beyond. I have been to several introduction nights, and have had very positive experiences thus far. The Landmark Forum is something I have been meaning to do for over a year now, but I was always making excuses – mainly, I didn’t have the money to spend on it. I finally stepped up to the plate and put together the $450, and now I’m on my way. Fact is, The Landmark Forum is a lot cheaper than most other “self help” seminars out there. The seminar runs from 9am to 10pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday, so The Landmark Forum will be my life for the next 3 days and I get a 10 session seminar included with the tuition.
I am looking forward to the possibilities and breakthroughs that I will encounter over the next several days. I am trying not to go in with any expectations, but to be honest, the people at Landmark Education have made some pretty big promises. When I filled out my questionnaire for the The Landmark Forum, they asked me “What do you hope to get out of The Landmark Forum?” and they suggested that you could attach extra sheets of paper to your questionnaire – so you have as much room as you need to spell out your hopes. I kept my answers short and to the point:
- Improve the relationships in my life
- Learn how to express myself without fear of angering other people
- Become more focused and financially successful
A few dyas later I received a phone call from a staff member at Landmark. I talked with the woman about my expectations for The Landmark Forum, and she said that I would achieve these three goals, and much more.
Now I am filled with excitement and anticipation. We are not allowed to take notes during the seminar, but I will be sure to make notes during our breaks, so that I have plenty to write about in the coming days and weeks.
