4 Ways to Jumpstart Your Inspiration
We all go through times when we are lacking motivation or inspiration. When you’re working with a creative outlet such as a blog, you need ways to jumpstart your inspiration. Other things in life require that you boost your motivation. Here I will share a few things that I have discovered to help get me back on track and get me inspired.
Read A Book - I’ve never been a huge reader and I much prefer a non-fiction book (Blink or Rich Dad, Poor Dad) over a novel. Whatever floats your boat, find a good new book that will get your mind working. Reading a book that really stirs your imagination can get you thinking in new ways, or get you excited about old ideas that you had.
Attend A Class - When I came out of The Landmark Forum and The Landmark Advanced Course, it seemed as if that was all I could write about. Now I’m in a weekly seminar so I know that if I am low on ideas, something will get sparked at that weekly session. Find a class or seminar that is in line with your interests and run with it. Maybe you’ve always said that you would take an art class “someday” - well I hate to break it to you but “someday” isn’t ever going to arrive, so take the art class now.
Create A New Intention - When you’re feeling in a rut, it is great to create a new intention and put The Law of Attraction into motion for yourself. Make a list of things that you want in your life (remember The Law of Polarity) and then create an intention that really gets you motivated. Share that intention with other people, and you’ll be on your way to creating a new future.
Make A Daily Change - Giving yourself a change of pace can have a real positive effect on your daily life. I’d encourage the change to be something that you do daily, so that you aren’t introducing a one-time event, but rather something that will effect you every day. If you always take the same route to work, try going a different way. If you haven’t been exercising, commit to a new running program. If you haven’t been spending time with your children, establish a family game night.
Making a change that is real and happens on a regular basis will add a new aspect to your life. If you’re feeling in a rut or are unmotivated by your daily routine, then giving yourself something new to look forward to will help break your current cycle, jumpstart your inspiration and give you something to start your new positive momentum.

I have sat here reading this post and thinking to myself, yes this guy is right.
These are 4 simple ways to jumpstart your inspiration. I know from experience how effective reading a book is for providing inspiration. Like you, I prefer non-fiction books to fiction.
It is making a daily change that most interested me, though. This is something anyone could do and do it simply and quickly. A change to one’s routine could well lead to a change of view and the possibility of discovering something new. Also, of course, when you first start something new, your mind is open to new possibilities and you have new awareness which you may not have when performing a routine task.
Thanks for this post

Thanks so much for the kind words. It’s ironic, but I was in need of a little inspiration before I read your comments, and you gave me just what I needed.

Great article. I’m sure your blog is very happy.
If I’m stale for inspiration then I do nothing letting myself marinate in life pleasures and voila I’m all refueled and the inspiration comes flowing back.
I’m a kind of go with the flow girl.
Peace, love and chai tea

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Going with the flow is always a great way to go. I know that inspiration often strikes when you are not expecting it, so keeping it light and fresh is always a good option.

I’ve also been inspired (actually, the inspiration has never been better) than when given after performing good or helpful deeds for others…. or even simply by clearing your worries by completing some of those bothersome yet necessary tasks or chores you seem to endlessly put off. I swear this is guaranteed to bring about space in your mind for those creative juices to flow.
