Basic Meditation
I am not an expert in meditation, but I have tried meditation in several different forms over the last few years. Meditation is described as “a state of concentrated attention on some object of thought or awareness.” - I’ve taught myself how to mediate and found meditation to be very helpful in finding motivation for myself, finding calmness for myself and finding focus when my mind is busy. Mediation can be used along with The Law of Attraction to bring new and wonderful things into your life.
My basic meditation takes place with my laying flat on the floor. When I first tried meditation I had a ‘deep sleep’ audio track that I would play, now I find it easiest for me to meditate when there is no background noise. These are all factors that you should determine for yourself. You may find that sitting in a chair or sitting upright on the floor works for you. You may like noise or music in the background, or may like silence.
I have found that my meditations work best early in the morning when I am refreshed, or immediately after I exercise. At these times my body tends to be relaxed and my mind isn’t flooded with the worries of my day. If I can seamlessly begin my mediation, rather than make a big production, I get much more out of the experience.
I will usually lay on my back and close my eyes. I will take a few moments to relax my body and think about nothing in particular. Once I am relaxed, my mind will start to run through the things that I need to meditate about. This is a conscious thought, not something that happens magically.
Usually I will have one or two items that I specifically want to meditate about. Depending on the intention, I will begin by thinking “I am so happy and grateful now that…” or another similar thought. In the case of today, I am preparing for a 30 Day Challenge that begins on November 1st. My Goal for these 30 Days is to have established a stream of $10 daily passive income by the end of the 30 Days. For this purpose, I started my meditation by thinking “At the end of my 30 Day Challenge, I will be generating $10 of passive income every day.” - and then I continue my train of thought by thinking about what this would look like, how would this change my life, and how does this make me feel.
The key for me is ‘how does this make me feel’? To really feel the emotions that come along with my intention is a great experience. If I am doing this correctly, I feel wonderful inside and I am likely smiling on the outside. If you look at this from The Law of Attraction, I am creating the emotions and sending those signals out into The Universe. I mentally run through the actions that would comprise my day. I think about different situations, and how those would make me feel. I want to feel the emotions that are created by having accomplished my intention of creating $10 of passive income every day.
Eventually I will start to lose focus, and this is when I begin to come out of my meditation. My mind wanders to other topics, and I begin to open my eyes. I will usually lay for a few minutes and stare at the ceiling, thinking about the different possibilities for my day.
This is just my interpretation of meditation. If you have something to add or suggest, feel free to leave a comment and I will be sure to respond.

Meditation is such a beneficial practice. I completely understand how difficult it can be sometimes to remain focused. I like how you ask yourself the right questions during your meditation. I believe the feeling that you generate when you meditate will help you to attract your intentions in no time.

Nadege - Thanks for stopping by. Meditation does help me focus, but maybe more it helps me calm myself. Sometimes I get so tied up in the happenings of the day, I welcome the time to stop the thoughts in my mind and to focus on things that I really want.
Thanks for checking out the site!
